Om Raut is a National Film Award winning film writer, director, and producer. He made his directorial debut in 2015 with the film ‘Lokmanya: Ek Yug Purush,’ which received numerous accolades, including the Filmfare award for Best Debutant Director.

Following this, Om wrote and directed the critically acclaimed period action drama ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior,’ featuring Ajay Devgn in the lead role alongside Kajol and Saif Ali Khan. The film not only garnered critical acclaim but also won numerous awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Director in 2019, as well as the prestigious National Award.

His latest cinematic masterpiece was the magnum opus “Adipurush,” an adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana.

Expanding its footprint in digital content, Om has produced a Netflix feature film, Inspector Zende, released in September 2025, and is currently developing a web series in collaboration with Amazon Prime Video.

Om Raut is in the process of writing his next feature film, inspired by the extraordinary life and legacy of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
