Kelly Tyson is General Manager of Product at Wētā Workshop, leading the Product division across consumer products, tourism experiences and the Wētā Workshop Game Studio. Based in Wellington, she is responsible for shaping the studio’s product roadmap, from physical collectibles and location-based experiences to interactive titles that extend Wētā’s storytelling into new formats.

Tyson serves as a key executive voice for Wētā’s move into original IP and games. She has been prominently associated with Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, a cosy Hobbit-life simulation developed by Wētā Workshop Game Studio and published by Private Division. In this context, she has spoken publicly about bringing a more intimate, Hobbit-centric experience of Middle-earth to players worldwide.
